Reupholstery? Is it worth it?
Furniture and house ornaments give life to your home interior design. Each serves its purpose of being decorative stuff. Types of furniture are both decorative and functional. And as a result of its regular use, the furniture will then lose its original form, color, and design. That beautiful sofa you had for years is slowly ripping apart. But there’s something inside you that doesn’t want to get rid of the rugged furniture. Some sentimental value that stops you from getting a new one and throwing out the old ones.
So to save it, you end up getting a re-upholstery instead. But, is getting a re-upholstery worth it? The quality of your old furniture and its sentimental value somehow affects your choice of acquiring a re-upholstery service. Some experts say that re-upholstery can cost just as much as purchasing a new one, but of course, depending on the work required to be done. Especially when it needs an intensive or special re-upholstery service.
But if that furniture gives you so much sentimental value, and means something to you, whether it’s given by someone important, or has great historical value, then better think many times on either to replace it or not. Because there is no price that can compare to a sentimental value we have on something that we owned for a very long time.
